Tom Phillips is neo-expressionist artist who focuses on the human form. Phillips is deeply affected by political and social events that are happening in Australia and around the world. He continues to paint according to what he feels about these events in contemporary society.
Through his expressive figurative paintings, the artist focuses on fear and alienation to explore male culture and identity in our society.
Phillips lives and works in Adelaide. He will be showing at Bosz Gallery from 2 – 20 August, 2016 Tom has been the recipient of an Arts Grant from Arts, South Australia and the South Australian Government, which has assisted in bring this exhibition to Queensland.
