Suzanne Danaher is a Brisbane based artist. Her paintings and prints are created using a variety of materials and found objects, mediums and technical processes including etching, linocuts, collagraphs and computer generated prints.

Suzanne has studied extensively having obtained an undergraduate degree from Phillip Institute of technology, Victoria and her Masters degree from Queensland College of Art.

She has also attended numerous workshops to expand her knowledge and skills. Much of Suzanne’s technical expertise in the field of printmaking was gained at the Australian Print Workshop in Melbourne and she has travelled to Spain and San Francisco (Crown Point Press) to further her knowledge. While gaining this experience, she has also maintained her passion and skill in gestural and contemporary painting, utilising acrylic paints, inks and water colours. Her love of painting and the freedom of the immediate expression it provides she credits to the influenc of the late Clem Forbes. She attributes him for the gestural freedom that she discovered.

Suzanne’s work is held in numerous collections in Australia and overseas including the National Gallery in Canberra. She has won awards and exhibited widely over the past 25 years both in Australia and internationally. Whilst maintaining her own arts practice, Suzanne has also collaborated with and/or printed editions for other artists including Mostyn Bramley-Moore, Judy Watson and Karen Casey. With her breadth of knowledge and skill she is much sought after as a teacher at various universities, schools and community groups.
